EN-GJS-700-2

This grade contains a very large amount of pearlite, which gives a high tensile strength and hardness. The grade is particularly suited for machine components subjected to heavy loads. High hardness and wear resistance are combined with reasonable machinability. Further, the pearlitic structure can easily be hardened by heat treatment, both full hardening and surface hardening (flame- or induction hardening).

Typical application:

Cranks, machine components and tools, that are exposed to large dynamic and static loads.
