The matrix is predominantly pearlitic, even though the grade has some nodularity and a higher tensile strength, which makes it applicable in a broad range of technical fields. The grade is suitable replacement for carbon steel. 

Typical applications:

High pressure pump housings, clutch housings, universal joints, hourings for hydraulic engines, gear wheels and hydraulic cylinders.
