EN-GJL-300

This grade combines good strength, density and wear resistance properties with good damping and machinability.

The grade has a pearlitic structure which guarantees an excellent hardening result, i.e. on cheeks for machine tools.  With limited sensibility to variations in wall thickness this grade is ideally suited for the production of complicated pressure tight castings.

Typical applications:

Cheeks for machine tools, large pump and turbine housings, castings for diesel engines, large gearwheels and flywheels, hydraulic castings and valves etc.
